Lot of 5 covers sent between Nov 28, 1938 and Mar 24, 1939 to Celso Bueno y Bueno, in San Miguel de los Reyes prison’s 4º Batallón de Fortificaciones. Three of them with content, from where it is made clear the prisoner was allowed to send two letters per month. Sent by his wife Mercedes Marco, in Villanueva del Arzobispo, Jaén. The addressee wrote on the covers the date and where did he received them, as the 4º Batallón de Fortificaciones was mobile. The first one, as per his notes, was received in Pla Vallesa, the second in Paterna, third and fourth in La Tandera of Paterna and the last one in Valencia, a day after the end of the war, on Mar 31, 1939, when he was liberated. All the covers have the San Miguel de los Reyes prison censor mark, «D.P. Nº1 – VALENCIA / CENSURA» in violet.

Difficult assembly, specially interesting for mentioning where the covers are received, as they were sent to a mobile detachment.

The last cover in this lot contains two interesting handwritten notes: the first one says the addressee was liberated from San Miguel de los Reyes prison on March 29, 1939. The second one says he received this cover in Valencia, in liberty, on March 31, 1939. Curiously, the last day of the war, whoever was the postmaster of San Miguel de los Reyes took the time to deliver this cover to a former prisoner liberated two days before.
