Stationery post card Edifil 78n from Labor Camp nr 2, 1938

Stationery post card Edifil 78n sent from Labor Camp nr. 2 to Barcelona. The sender is possibly a guard, as his sender info is as follows: "Campo de Trabajo Nº 2 / 1 Cía 1a Sección / Base Turia 3". The reference "Base Turia" was only used on military mail, and there was no reason for a prisoner in a SIM's forced labor camp to use such code, who most probably even ignored its existence. Labor Camp number 2 was in l'Hospitalet de l'Infant and hosted prisoners coming from Valencia's San Miguel de los Reyes Prison and prisoners captured during the Teruel battle.

Unreadable postmark possibly stamped in Barcelona, as the outcoming mail of the camps was sometimes processed through the SIM's headquarter offices in this city, but text on the back dated on August 13, 1938.
