Nº 5. Text dated on September 13, 1938. This soldier was in the 12 International Brigade until August 1938. Rare.

Text on the back dated on the last days of the war, on March 21, 1939.

Cover from Saint Etienne, France, to Bilbao, with was Nationalist zone, but missent to the Republican zone and there censored with Valencia mark Heller RV2.4 and returned to the sender with mark "Retour a / l'envoyeur". Very interesting example of disruption of the postal services due to the war.

What makes this lot exceptionall are the dried plants inside, picked up at the Front and preserved in the covers since 1937.
