Spanish Refugees in France, cover from Camp Saint Cyprien to Paris, 1939 Addressed to Bibiano Fernández Osorio Tafall, a Republican scientist who was General Commisar of the Armies during the Civil War and second secretary of the United Nations. After the war, he was responsible of SERE (Servicio de Evacuación de Republicanos Españoles).
Cover to Portbou, to a soldier in 12 Batería de Costa, sent by another soldier in 212 Brigada, with Correo de Campaña Nº 19C postmark and Estafeta de Cambio backstamp.
Cover from Bobadilla to Seville franked with block of Republican Edifil 657. Unlisted censor mark “Comandancia militar de” and “Censura” handwritten after it. Stamps cancellation being “Bobadilla” handwritten across the block. Very rare.
