Hand delivered cover to General Porlier prison, Madrid, 1938

Sent to Luis Cavarino by his wife Aurora Murado, also held in Las Ventas prison, also in Madrid. The prison in Madrid’s General Porlier street was officialy named «Prisión Provisional de Hombres Nº 3». The stationery post card bears marks: «Censurada» in black ink. No stamp neither postmark, as the cover was probably delivered by the sender to the prison's clerks.

Sent to Luis Cavarino by his wife Aurora Murado. The prison in Madrid’s General Porlier street was officialy named «Prisión Provisional de Hombres Nº 3». The cover bears mark: «Censurada» in black ink, stamped upon arrival to General Porlier’s prison. No stamp neither postmark, as the cover was probably delivered by the sender to the prison's clerks. It contains three texts dated on July 9, 16 and August 6, 1938.

Both addressee and sender, Luis Chavarino Ladrón de Guevara and his wife Aurora Murado Hernández were detained by the SIM on May 1938, upon disafection offences, but were found no guilty by Madrid’s Tribunal Popular Nº 1 and freed on mid December 1938.
